Hockaday on the brink of Leeds sack?

Dave Hockaday is reportedly on the verge of losing his job as head coach of Leeds United.

The 56-year-old was only appointed to the Elland Road hotseat by owner Massimo Cellino in June of this year.

However, following three defeats in four Championship outings - the latest of which came at Watford this afternoon - Cellino has decided that the time is right to part with the former Swindon Town defender's services, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

When asked if he thought that he would be given the time to reverse the team's fortunes following the loss to Watford, Hockaday replied: "That's not my decision. I'm comfortable I'm getting more out of these players than anyone else could.

"The boys are giving me everything but we need up to four players with Championship experience."

It is believed that Hockaday could be relieved of his duties within the next few hours.
