Ruben Rochina scores an 84th-minute backheel for Blackburn Rovers to deny Leeds United all three points at Elland Road.

Leeds United came close to overturning a two-goal deficit but had to settle for a draw against Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.

The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute when Morten Gamst Pedersen lifted over the top for Markus Olsson, who charged down the left before drilling low past Paddy Kenny.

Rovers went two ahead minutes later when Pedersen and Olsson again linked up, with the latter setting up Nuno Gomes to curl home.

Leeds pulled one back before the interval when El Hadji Diouf poked home after Luciano Becchio beat Paul Robinson to a high ball.

The hosts were level ten minutes after the break when Ross McCormack volleyed home, despite Gael Givet appearing to be shoved when going for a header.

Leeds then completed the turnaround midway through the second half when Becchio nodded home at the back post.

Neil Warnock's men came close to grabbing a fourth but they were pegged back six minutes from time when Rovers substitute Ruben Rochina collected the ball inside the area and backheeled through a crowd of players past Kenny.

A point sees Blackburn rise to second, while Leeds fall slightly to seventh.
