Adam Pearson leaves Sheffield Wednesday board to return to Leeds United

Pearson leaves Owls board for Leeds

Leeds United have announced the appointment of Adam Pearson as their executive director.

The former Hull City owner leaves fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday less than a month after being named on a three-man sporting director committee at Hillsborough.

He returns to Leeds, where he was commercial director before leaving to buy Hull back in 2001.

"I'm here to assist [chairman Massimo Cellino] as much as possible on all sides of the club and I'm really looking forward to it," Pearson, who also owns Super League side Hull FC, told Leeds's website.

"I'll be like his right-hand man as executive director at the club, trying to get the club moving forward in the right lines and in tune with its supporters."

Leeds have finished 14th, 13th and 15th in the last three Championship seasons.
