Leeds United to find out for winding up verdict on Tuesday

Leeds United will find out tomorrow if they will be forced to repay a loan of almost one million pounds, or face being wound up.

Championship club Leeds United will find out tomorrow whether they will be forced to repay a loan of almost £1m.

The case went before a judge at the Royal Courts of Justice in London today, but has now been adjourned until tomorrow.

If the Yorkshire club are told to repay the loan and then don't, they face being wound up.

The case relates to a disputed loan, made to the club last November, by Sport Capital, the company that Leeds United's former managing director David Haigh was associated with.

Haigh is currently being held by police in Dubai having been arrested last month over alleged financial irregularities.

The winding up petition has frozen the club's finances, meaning that the players were not paid last month.

Despite not being paid, the players all met new owner Massimo Cellino last week to discuss their futures at the club.
