David Hockaday unhappy with Leeds United defence

Leeds United boss David Hockaday has hit out at his defence following Saturday's friendly draw with Chesterfield.

The Championship club were trailing 2-1 at The Proact Stadium before Rodolph Austin's late penalty saved their blushes.

"We know that Chesterfield are a good passing team and they couldn't pass their way through us and score, so they bring on a big lad and start hitting long balls into him," Hockaday told LUTV.

"It should be the easiest type of defending to deal with. If you cannot defend 50-60 yards balls then you have a problem and on the day, we couldn't handle it."

Leeds continue their pre-season campaign on Tuesday when they make the trip to Swindon Town.
