A Lazio youth player is thought to be battling for his life after being involved in a scooter accident.
Mirko Fersini, 16, suffered a head injury after he collided with a metal bin on Friday.
"On hearing the news of the accident which involved Mirko Fersini, who is registered with the Biancocelesti youth team, Lazio offers support in a time of grief," read a statement on the Serie A side's official website.
Fersini, who is currently in Rome's San Camillo hospital, is in a coma with what is believed to be an inoperable cerebral edema.
