Pirlo signs two-year Juve extension

Andrea Pirlo has extended his stay at Juventus by adding two more years to his contract with the Serie A club.

The Italian champions announced this week that Pirlo, whose previous contract was due to expire this summer, will remain with the club until 2016.

Juventus released a statement saying: "Andrea Pirlo's fantastic story with the Bianconeri continues. The Professor has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Juventus until June 30, 2016."

Pirlo, who signed for the club from AC Milan in 2011, is currently in Brazil with Italy preparing for their opening Group D match against England on Saturday.
