How Juventus could line up against Barcelona

Juventus could have Cristiano Ronaldo available for their clash with Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Sunday night.

The Portugal international has not featured in either of his team's pre-season clashes against Cesena and Monza this summer but is expected to be involved in the glamour tie with Barcelona.

Returning head coach Massimiliano Allegri will still be without some key players due to international commitments over the summer, but a strong Juventus XI is expected to take to the field.

The side is likely to be similar to the one that started against Monza last weekend, with Matthijs de Ligt, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Dejan Kulusevski all in line to feature.

The Old Lady will not begin their 2021-22 Serie A campaign until August 22, meaning that there should be opportunities for youngsters to impress against the Catalan giants.

Marley Ake could be given the nod in the final third of the field, while Felix Correia and Nicolo Fagioli could potentially be involved, having been used off the bench in the 2-1 success over Monza.

Merih Demiral started Juventus' last pre-season contest but has now finalised a loan move to Atalanta BC, meaning that Daniele Rugani could come into the first XI.

Juventus possible starting lineup: Szczesny; De Sciglio, De Ligt, Rugani, Pellegrini; Ranocchia, Ramsey, Rabiot; Kulusevski, Ronaldo, Ake
