Half-Time Report: Carlos Tevez gives Juventus interval lead

Carlos Tevez's goal separates Juventus and Atalanta BC in their Serie A meeting at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia this evening.

It took until just short of the half-hour mark before the visitors carved out their first real opening, and it was Patrice Evra who began the attack, picking out Tevez who came within inches of firing his side into the lead. Marco Sportiello managed to get down low, producing a fine stop to deny the striker.

There was no stopping Tevez five minutes later, though, as the Argentina international fired home a rebound from close range to put Juventus ahead.

Fernando Llorente came close to doubling his side's advantage shortly after, but his header ended narrowly over the bar to ensure that the scoreline remained slender going into the break.
