Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri "delighted" by Coppa Italia progress

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri hails his players after seeing them overturn a first-leg deficit to beat Fiorentina and reach the Coppa Italia final.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has hailed his side for beating Fiorentina to reach the Coppa Italia final.

Juve lost the first leg of their semi-final 2-1 in Turin, but a 3-0 victory in Florence last night saw them go through with a 4-2 aggregate win.

Goals from Alessandro Matri, Roberto Pereyra and Leonardo Bonucci made the difference as the nine-time champions came from behind to progress.

"I thought the team interpreted this game very well," Allegri told Rai Sport. "It's by no means easy to win away to a Fiorentina side who have been playing great football.

"I am delighted with what my players did. It's a big achievement to overturn a difficult result. To win in Florence and not concede a goal is not easy. We played a balanced game, showing good technique and great personality. We deserved to go through."

Juventus continue the defence of their Serie A title on Saturday when they make the trip to Parma.
