Xherdan Shaqiri has insisted that Inter Milan must buy better players if they are to have any chance of returning to the Champions League.
The Swiss winger made his way to Serie A in January from Bayern Munich but has only scored once in the 10 appearances he has made for Inter.
However, Shaqiri recognises that the Nerazzurri need more "important players" if he is to help lift the side into the European places.
"Italian football is different but I've had no real problems in settling in," the 23-year-old told reporters.
"Mancini expects me to make the difference and in that regard the help of my teammates is vital. It's not been a season to remember but Inter are a massive club and we want to get back to winning ways next season.
"We need to be in the Champions League, that's our natural habitat. With the arrival of other important players [during the summer transfer window], we'll be able to cut the gap with the other sides, but Mancini and his coaches know what to do to get us back to the top."
Inter are currently 10th in Serie A, 16 points behind third-placed Roma, who occupy the last Champions League spot.
