Roberto Mancini labels Inter Milan "fools" after Napoli loss

Roberto Mancini labels Inter Milan "fools" after conceding a stoppage-time winner to Napoli in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Roberto Mancini has labelled Inter Milan "fools" following their dramatic defeat to Napoli in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Gonzalo Higuain broke free of the Inter defence in the third minute of stoppage time before firing his side to victory, and Mancini was quick to criticise his side's performance after watching them suffer a third successive loss in all competitions.

"I don't know what to say. I'm speechless. You cannot concede a goal like this," the Inter boss told Rai Sport. "We played a good game against a great Napoli, but you certainly cannot win if you don't score goals.

"I don't remember the last time I lost three games in a row. I must have been only 10.

"But I repeat, losing like this hurts. We were fools. We were too soft in the decisive moments of the game."

Inter will look to end their recent run of poor results when they host Palermo on Sunday.
