Fredy Guarin rejects Inter Milan title talk

Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has dismissed suggestions that the team is ready to challenge for the Serie A title.

The Nerazzurri have signed seven new players this summer, leading manager Roberto Mancini to claim that his new-look squad is capable of being crowned champions.

However, Guarin believes that Inter should focus on qualifying for the Champions League after finishing last season in eighth place in the table.

"Let's say we must return to the Champions League," the Colombia international told Gazzetta dello Sport. "To talk about the Scudetto now would be premature. Less talk more action."

Inter start the new Serie A campaign at home to Atalanta on August 23.
