Mike Williamson: 'Win shows support for John Carver'

Newcastle United centre-back Mike Williamson says that the club's 3-0 win over Hull City shows that the team is fully behind coach John Carver.

Newcastle United centre-back Mike Williamson has said that the club's 3-0 win over Hull City highlights the support that the players have for manager John Carver.

Travelling United cruised to victory at the KC Stadium thanks to goals from Remy Cabella, Sammy Ameobi and Yoan Gouffran, with Williamson suggesting that the result shows just how much the team are behind their coach.

"You can see the lads are behind him and the performances - we worked hard all afternoon and it's a tough place to come and we're delighted with the result," said Williamson, according to ESPN.

"We had the quality to show through in the end to get the goals which we're delighted with."

The Magpies now hold 11th spot in the Premier League table.
