After the break, the visitors took the lead when Diego Fagundez played a one-two with Clyde Simms before beating several defenders and firing an effort past Tally Hall into the net.

Houston went straight on the attack looking for an equaliser and nearly found one from Will Bruin, but he could only fire his shot over the crossbar after being teed up by Corey Ashe.

Brian Ching was the next to try to get the Dynamo level but he was denied twice by New England keeper Bobby Shuttleworth.

In the 84th minute, the Revolution doubled their lead when Juan Agudelo powered a shot at goal which deflected off Houston midfielder Ricardo Clark into the net to seal the win for New England.
