Tomas Cerny makes Hibernian switch

Hibernian have signed former Hamilton Academical goalkeeper Tomas Cerny on a deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Czech joins the club from Greek outfit Ergotelis.

Cerny enjoyed a five-year association with Hamilton from 2007 to 2012.

"My wife is Scottish and we were keen to relocate back to Scotland," he told the club's official website. "So when the opportunity came up to sign for Hibernian, it ticked all the right boxes.

"I know a lot about the club - I've played against the team several times before - and I want to play my part in helping Hibernian to earn promotion."

Hibs are currently in third place in the Scottish Championship table, 15 points behind leaders Hearts.
