Hibernian and St Mirren are set to come together at the Easter Road Stadium on Sunday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership.
The hosts have won one and drawn one of their two league games, while the visitors have lost one and drawn two of their first three fixtures.
Match preview
Hibernian enjoyed a fantastic 2024-25 Scottish Premiership campaign, finishing third in the league with 58 points from 38 fixtures, securing their spot in the Europa League qualifiers.
David Gray's side have, however, had a mixed start to the 2025-26 season, immediately eliminated from the Europa League in the second qualifying round by Midtjylland, while they have also failed to qualify for the Conference League as they were defeated 5-4 on aggregate by Legia Warsaw in the playoff round.
Despite their European struggles, Hibs are undefeated in their opening domestic matches of the new term, including one win and one draw in the league and a victory in the Scottish League Cup second round.
Their results in the Scottish Premiership leave Hibernian sitting third in the table with four points, while Hibs have also played a game fewer than those around them due to their match against Falkirk being postponed because of their Conference League involvement.
Aiming to continue their strong start in domestic competitions, Hibernian will face a St Mirren side that have had a challenging beginning to the new campaign.
St Mirren, who secured their third straight top half finish last season, are yet to win a league match at the beginning of this term, recording one defeat and two draws from their first three fixtures.
The Saints were unfortunate to not take a point from their opening-day clash with Celtic, conceding an 87th-minute winner by Luke McCowan, and they have since been held to draws with Motherwell and Rangers.
Stephen Robinson's side did manage to progress past Hearts in the Scottish League Cup between their league fixtures, but a penalty victory in that clash means the Saints are without a win inside 90 minutes in their last four outings.
St Mirren will be eager to end that winless run at the beginning of the league campaign on Sunday, and with three wins and three draws in the last six meetings with Hibs, the visitors will be full of confidence.

Team News
Hibernian remain without the services of Joe Newell due to a groin injury that has ruled him out of action since February, while the rest of the squad should be available for selection.
Kieron Bowie and Martin Boyle have each made strong starts to the season with several goals scored, and the attacking duo should start once again on Sunday.
As for St Mirren, Conor McMenamin and Liam Donnelly are both not expected to feature for the visitors due to ongoing injury issues, though both should return in the coming weeks.
St Mirren were impressive in the recent 1-1 draw with Rangers, and Robinson may decide to name a largely unchanged 11 as a result in this one.
Hibernian possible starting lineup:
Smith; C Cadden, O'Hora, Kiranga, Iredale, Obita; Boyle, Mulligan, Levitt, McGrath; Bowie
St Mirren possible starting lineup:
George; Richardson, Fraser, Gogic, Freckleton, John; Phillips, Baccus, O'Hara; Ayunga, Mandron
We say: Hibernian 1-1 St Mirren
Hibernian have enjoyed a stronger start to the season than their visitors, but with St Mirren boasting an impressive recent record in this fixture, we believe this one will end all square.
