Consortium make bid for Hibernian?

Scottish Championship side Hibernian could be taken over after a consortium of investors reportedly made an offer for the club.

The group of investors have put together a bid in the excess of £3.5m for HFC Holdings Ltd, which is the company that owns 98% of the Championship club, according to BBC Sport.

Financial advisor David Low is a member of the consortium that has put in the bid for the club and was also a member for Fergus McCann's takeover at Celtic in 1994.

Hibernian chairman Rod Petrie has received criticism from Hibs fans after the club was relegated last season from the Scottish Premiership alongside Edinburgh rivals Hearts.
