Lennon handed one-match touchline ban

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon has been handed a one-match touchline ban following his behaviour during his side's 1-0 defeat to Brondby on Thursday.

The 45-year-old was sent to the stands in his first competitive match in charge of the club after questioning the decision to rule out a goal from Jason Cummings.

Hibs fell behind after just 17 seconds of their Europa League second qualifying round first leg when Kamil Wilczek scored from close range, before Cummings saw a seemingly good equaliser ruled out.

Referee Juan Martinez Munuera dismissed Lennon for his protestations, and UEFA has now confirmed that the former Celtic boss will be banned for the return leg next week.

Hibs will make the return trip to Denmark next Thursday looking to overturn the one-goal deficit and progress into the next qualifying round.
