Manchester United head to Blundell Park this Wednesday night as they take on Grimsby Town in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Ruben Amorim and his men are still without a victory this season after losing their Premier League opener to Arsenal and drawing 1-1 at Fulham a week later.

Pressure is therefore beginning to ramp up on the Red Devils, who splashed some serious money in the summer transfer market.

Lisandro Martinez has been out of action since February, with his last game being a 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace. The defender has been struggling with a knee problem and is not expected back until late October.

Noussair Mazraoui

Type of injury: Thigh

Possible return date: August 30 (vs. Burnley)

Unlike Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui is getting closer to making his return from injury. Wednesday's game with Grimsby may come a little too soon, though the defender should be ready to take on Burnley at the weekend.

The 27-year-old has not been in competitive action since May's victory over Aston Villa.
