Preview: Genoa vs. Inter Milan

Genoa vs. Inter Milan

Inter Milan will be looking to improve on a run of one win from seven league games when they visit Genoa on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri have yet to win in 2014, and were held to a 1-1 draw by Chievo in their last Serie A fixture.

Their lack of wins has left them 10 points behind third-placed Napoli in the table, as they look to secure a place in the Champions League next season.

Inter have only won three of their nine games away from the San Siro this season and with Fiorentina and Hellas Verona in good form, even a place in the Europa League is not guaranteed.

Genoa were beaten 4-0 by Roma last weekend and have struggled in recent weeks, winning only one of their past seven league matches.

Their main problem has been scoring goals, having found the net just 19 times in the league this season.

The Rossoblu finished 17th in the league last season, narrowly avoiding relegation, and will hope to build on the seven-point gap between them and the bottom three.

Yuto Nagatomo and Rodrigo Palacio scored as Inter ran out 2-0 winners when the teams met on the first day of the season.

Francesco Matuzalem is suspended for the home side, but Fredy Guarin is expected to return from a ban to play for Inter.
