Galatasaray open Burak Yilmaz talks

Galatasaray have confirmed that talks are underway to sign Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz.

The 26-year-old was awarded the Golden Boot in the Super Lig last season after he scored 33 goals.

"Formal negotiations with professional football club Trabzonspor for the transfer of Burak Yilmaz have begun," read a Galatasaray statement. "The public will be informed of any further developments."

The Turkish international, who has also been linked with a move to Fulham, joined Tranzonspor from Fenerbahce in 2010.
