Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will reportedly move for Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has scored 17 league goals this season, and it is understood that talks over a new deal at Craven Cottage have stalled in recent weeks.
Dalglish could offer Dirk Kuyt in exchange for the American, according to caughtoffside.com, in order to tie up a summer move.
Dempsey has 83 USA caps to his name.
