Fulham plan Matthew Lowton swoop?

Fulham are understood to be planning a bid for Aston Villa defender Matthew Lowton at the end of the season.

Despite Villa's struggles at the bottom of the Premier League table this campaign, the 23-year-old has impressed with his performances at the back.

This summer could see the Cottagers make a £5m offer for Lowton, according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal are also thought to be interested in the former Sheffield United full-back.
