Willian scores two penalties to help Fulham record a 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage.

Willian scored a brace of penalties to guide Fulham to a 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage.

The Wolves boss would have been pleased with his side's response, as Matheus Cunha restored parity around the halfway mark of the first period.

After the two sides headed down the tunnel on level terms, Willian kept his composure from the penalty spot to restore Fulham's lead in the 59th minute, before Hwang Hee-chan dispatched his own spot kick to level the scoreline for the second time in the contest.

However, there was to be one final twist, as a third penalty of the evening gave Willian the chance to thump home a stoppage-time winner.

After bringing an end to their four-game winless league run, the hosts move level on 15 points with their opponents, who have now lost back-to-back away matches.

Fulham came into the contest looking to secure their first Premier League victory since beating Sheffield United on October 7.

The hosts could not have wished for a better start, taking the lead in the seventh minute following a slick attacking move.

USA international Antonee Robinson linked up with Willian on the left flank, before cutting the ball back for Iwobi to sweep home his first Premier League goal for the West London club.

The Cottagers threatened to add a quick second when a neatly worked corner allowed Tom Cairney to sting the palms of Jose Sa.

After getting off to a shaky start, the visitors sent a warning shot through the in-form Hwang, who raced through on goal before thumping the ball against the crossbar.

Undeterred by that near-miss, Wolves managed to level the scoreline in the 22nd minute courtesy of Cunha's third goal of the season.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde displayed his nimble footwork to beat Robinson and stand the ball up for Cunha to head into the bottom corner.

While neither side was able to find another goal before the interval, Fulham were given the chance to restore their lead within 15 minutes of the restart.

Nelson Semedo was penalised for a foul on Cairney, and after VAR had confirmed the decision, Willian stepped up to send Sa the wrong way.

Marco Silva's troops quickly started their search for a third goal, with Iwobi seeing his fierce effort pushed over by the bar by the Wolves goalkeeper.

It proved to be a crucial save, as Hwang levelled the scoreline just five minutes later, drilling his spot kick down the middle after being brought down by Fulham defender Tim Ream.

Wolves looked to be on their way to clinching a precious point until VAR instructed referee Michael Salisbury to visit the monitor in stoppage time.

After the referee ruled that Joao Gomes had sufficient contact with Harry Wilson, Willian shouldered responsibility again, driving his spot kick beyond Sa to snatch all three points.

Fulham will now begin preparations for a tricky away meeting with Liverpool, while Wolves will turn their attention to their own difficult away clash against Arsenal.
