Wigan Athletic's survival hopes have been dented after they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage.

Roberto Martinez's men went ahead after 56 minutes when Emmerson Boyce's fierce right-footed shot found the bottom-left corner.

However, their joy was short-lived and Pavel Pogrebynak restored parity with an equally impressive strike seconds later.

The Russian might have doubled his tally in the 63rd minute, but his close-range effort cannoned off the crossbar.

With the seconds ticking away, it was Phillippe Senderos who headed the winning goal from from John Arne Riise's 89th-minute free-kick.
