Gale unsure of Fulham survival

Former Fulham defender Tony Gale has admitted that he is unsure whether the team will avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Cottagers are one point from safety with two games left to play following Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Hull City.

While Gale expects plenty of surprises between now and the end of the campaign, he believes that it will be tough for Felix Magath's side to secure their survival.

"Looking at the table now, for me Cardiff City are certainly going to go down, as are Norwich City," he told the club's official website. "Then it's one other from Fulham, Sunderland and Aston Villa so it's a case of crossing fingers and praying that other teams come unstuck and we can get the points required.

"It can be done but it's going to go right to the wire and there won't be many fingernails left in SW6 on May 11."

Fulham continue their campaign on Saturday with a trip to Stoke City.
