Felix Magath: Fulham have "a lot of work" ahead

Felix Magath believes that the Fulham players have a lot of work to do but is confident that they have the ability to survive in the Premier League.

Fulham's new manager Felix Magath has admitted that the club have a huge task ahead if they are to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Magath has 12 games to claw Fulham from 20th in the table into the top 17, but he has said from the first few days of working with the players he is confident that the quality is there.

"I am very glad to be here in England, where football comes from," Magath said in his first press conference. "I look forward to having the same success in England as I had in Germany.

"We are in a serious situation and the next few months we have a lot of work ahead to avoid relegation. The first few days I have worked with the team were very good and I am sure we can avoid relegation.

"The players are willing to do the work to avoid relegation. We have a good atmosphere in the club and in the team. We stay together and we work together."

Fulham are currently four points off Saturday's opponents West Bromwich Albion, who are 17th.
