Martin Jol insists that Fulham played quite well, despite losing 2-0 to Manchester City.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has insisted that Fulham "did okay" in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to champions Manchester City.

Fulham went down to a David Silva brace, but Jol has said that he still thinks his side could have caused City trouble.

"In the first half they had a shot from Edin Dzeko over the bar and a shot from Carlos Tevez but that was probably it," Sky Sports News quotes Jol as saying. "I felt we could have done a bit more and scored the equaliser.

"But if you have got Silva - he has extra quality, probably the best player in the Premier League. He was fantastic but overall I felt we did okay."

Fulham have won just twice in their last 16 league games.
