Martin Jol: 'Stoke City like a rugby team'

Fulham boss Martin Jol has likened Stoke City to a rugby team following his side's 1-0 defeat at the Britannia Stadium.

Charlie Adam scored the only goal of the game on Saturday afternoon as the Cottagers slumped to a second loss in two matches.

"In the first half, they bully teams and we couldn't get the ball out of our half," said Jol. "It is their style and I admire their style. It's almost a rugby team."

The defeat has left Fulham in ninth place in the Premier League table.
