Mike Rigg leaves Football Association for Fulham post

Mike Rigg becomes the latest senior figure to leave the FA, joining Championship side Fulham as chief football officer.

The Football Association has lost another senior figure after it was announced that Mike Rigg would be leaving as head of talent identification to join Fulham as chief football officer.

Rigg, who is a former technical director of Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers, only started at English football's governing body a year ago and joins general secretary Alex Horne and Club England managing director Adrian Bevington in leaving the FA.

"Over the last 12 months I have been fortunate to work with some of the most inspirational and talented people in football that I have experienced over the last 25 years," Rigg told the FA's website.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan added on the Cottagers' website: "Mike will bring a very representative and well‑informed point of view to Fulham."

The West London side are 17th in the Championship at the halfway mark of the season following relegation from the Premier League earlier this year.
