Former Fulham midfielder Lyle Della-Verde joins Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town have signed former Fulham midfielder Lyle Della-Verde on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old had been without a club after being released by the Cottagers at the end of last season.

Della-Verde spent part of the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Bristol Rovers.

"Lyle has been with us since the first day of pre-season. He has shown a fantastic attitude and he brings us something a little bit different in midfield," manager Graham Alexander told the League One club's official website.

"He is a young player with lots of potential. He is hungry for the chance to play first-team football so he is a great addition to a squad that we are already pleased with."

Fleetwood start the new season with a trip to Southend United on August 8.
