Karim El Ahmadi rejoins Feyenoord

Feyenoord have re-signed midfielder Karim El Ahmadi from Aston Villa on a three-year contract.

The 29-year-old moved to Villa Park from the Eredivisie club in 2012.

"I've always said that I wanted to return to Feyenoord sometime," El Ahmadi told the club's official website.

"That time has come. In my first period at this club Feyenoord was growing and that growth has continued in recent years. I'm really looking forward to playing in a full De Kuip again and sharing my experience with the other Feyenoord players."

El Ahmadi made 56 appearances for Villa in all competitions, scoring three goals in the process.
