Roda, Feyenoord share the points

Roda JC have drawn 1-1 with Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.

Feyenoord goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer was called into action early to keep out shots from Rostyn Griffiths and Edwin Gyasi.

Gibril Sankoh's header was then denied by Vermeer in the 16th minute.

Feyenoord scored against the run of play after 20 minutes when Michiel Kramer's header from Rick Karsdorp's cross hit the back of the net.

Hicham Faik levelled the scores seven minutes later though when he directed a free kick into the top right corner.

Gyasi continued to threaten the Feyenoord defence in the second half. His first attempt was blocked before he missed the target three minutes later.

With 14 minutes remaining, Richmond Boakye had two chances to give Roda the three points, but missed the target on both occasions.

Bilal Basacikoglu rose highest to connect with Sven van Beek's corner, but his header went wide of the right post five minutes from time.
