Round six of the 2024-25 Eredivisie season sees FC Utrecht go head-to-head against newcomers Willem II at Stadion Galgenwaard on Saturday afternoon.   Both teams came away with maximum points from their respective most recent involvements and will be looking to pick up where they left off.

We say: FC Utrecht 2-1 Willem II

Willem II have shown they are no pushovers, but this weekend's trip to Utrecht represents a tough assignment nonetheless.

RKC Waalwijk vs. Sparta (Saturday, 5.45pm)

Looking to shake off what has been an abysmal start to the new Eredivisie campaign, RKC Waalwijk entertain the challenge of Sparta Rotterdam at the Mandemakers Stadion on Saturday.   Albeit for only the first time this term, the away side were also beaten last time out and now go in search of an immediate return to winning ways this weekend.

We say: RKC Waalwijk 0-2 Sparta Rotterdam

Waalwijk have been shambolic at the back, and while Sparta are yet to really get going in attack, we can see the away side exploiting their hosts' frailties to come away with maximum points.

Go Ahead Eagles vs. Ajax (Saturday, 7.00pm)

Go Ahead Eagles will have their sights set on recording back-to-back wins for the first time this season when Ajax come visiting De Adelaarshorst on Saturday.   Like the home side, this weekend's visitors were also victorious last time out and will make the journey to Deventer with the wind in their sails.

We say: Go Ahead Eagles 1-3 Ajax

Ajax head into Saturday's game off the back of 12 goals scored from their last three involvements, and we are anticipating another attacking masterclass here en route to a comfortable victory.

Nijmegen vs. Heracles (Saturday, 8.00pm)

NEC and Heracles will lock horns against each other at Stadion de Goffert to close out Saturday's action from gameweek six of the 2024-25 Eredivisie campaign.   The home side were beaten 2-0 by PSV Eindhoven last time out, while their visitors had to make do with a share of the spoils against Almere City.

We say: NEC 1-1 Heracles

Despite Heracles' poor start to the campaign, their record in this fixture will surely offer some optimism that they can come away with a positive result.

 

We are backing a share of the spoils with honours even at the sound of the final whistle.
