West Brom agree Anichebe fee

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £5m with Everton for Nigerian striker Victor Anichebe.

The 25-year-old has failed to figure in new Toffees boss Roberto Martinez's plans so far this season, with Nikica Jelavic and Arouna Kone preferred in attack.

Anichebe has now travelled to the Midlands to hold talks over personal terms with Baggies boss Steve Clarke, according to the Daily Mail.

Clarke is also thought to weighing up a last-ditch swoop for Sunderland forward Stephane Sessegnon, who has been made available for transfer by Mackems boss Paolo Di Canio.

West Brom have failed to score in any of their first three Premier League games, with speculation mounting that Shane Long may be allowed to leave before the transfer window closes, with Hull City and Everton reportedly interested.
