Report: Six-team race for Plattenhardt

Half a dozen Premier League teams have reportedly made their interest known in Marvin Plattenhardt after the German full-back was put up for sale by Hertha Berlin.

The 26-year-old was used just once by his national side in their shock first-round exit at the World Cup, 12 months after playing an important part in their Confederations Cup success.

Despite Plattenhardt's disappointing campaign out in Russia this summer, however, The Sun claims that a bidding war has been sparked for his signature and Hertha are looking to cash in.

Everton, Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth are all said to be keen to sign the seven-cap international, as are Leicester City, Watford and Fulham.

Plattenhardt is believed to have been valued at £12m by Hertha at the start of the transfer window.
