Report: Everton unlikely to move for Vardy

Everton will delay making a formal approach for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy until the end of the campaign, according to a report.

Toffees boss Sam Allardyce is said to be a fan of the England international, who he sees as a candidate to lead his line.

After spending close to £50m on bringing in Theo Walcott from Arsenal and Cenk Tosun from Besiktas, however, Allardyce has confessed that further incomings are unlikely this month.

Sky Sports News suggests that ambitious Everton will therefore shelve plans to table a bid for Vardy until the summer.

Leicester have previously knocked back a £20m offer from Arsenal for their star striker, who is under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2020.
