David Moyes: Tim Cahill going nowhere

Moyes: Cahill going nowhere

Everton manager David Moyes has told Tim Cahill that he is still part of his plans at Goodison Park.

Reports have linked Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr with a move for the Australian midfielder, who played more of a bit-part role last season.

However, the Scot said that the 32-year-old is still a "big part" of the Toffees' immediate future.

"He's fit, he's athletic, he can do several jobs for us," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo.

"There's been a couple of games where we've been able to change and rest him because we've had a fully fit squad, but Tim's been the mainstay of the way we've played.

"There'll be a time when we have to move on and that will evolve, but not at the moment. I think he's still got a two or three-year contract and he'll still be a big part of what we do."

Cahill joined Everton from Millwall in 2004.
