Everton target Yohan Tavares

Everton are interested in bringing French defender Yohan Tavares to Goodison Park, according to reports.

The club, who are believed to have been to see the centre-back on three occasions, have prepared a £500,000 offer to secure his services from Portuguese outfit Beira Mar, according to The Sun.

The Frenchman's current contract is understood to include a clause which states that he must be allowed to leave if a club from a superior league makes an offer.

Tavares has also been linked with a move to Serie A outfit Palermo, as well as to the Bundesliga.
