Everton midfielder Francisco Junior extends Wigan Athletic loan

Everton midfielder Francisco Junior has extended his loan deal with Wigan Athletic until January 16.

The 23-year-old has featured in every League One match for the Latics so far this season.

Former Portugal Under-21 international Junior has been loaned out to Vitesse, Stromsgodset and Port Vale in recent years.

"Cisco has been a revelation since he's arrived," Wigan boss Gary Caldwell told the club's official website. "When we found out there was a possibility of extending the loan, it was something I was very keen to get sorted."

Wigan return to League One action tomorrow when they travel to Gillingham.
