Everton transfer news: ‘Agreement reached’ to sign Adam Aznou form Bayern Munich with medical date, fee ‘revealed’

Aznou transfer fee, medical date revealed as Everton ‘agree’ to sign Bayern starlet

Everton have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign wideman Adam Aznou, according to a report.

David Moyes has welcomed three new signings to the club so far this summer, including midfielder Carlos Alcaraz who has seen his loan move from last season made permanent.

Striker Thierno Barry and goalkeeper Mark Travers have also joined from Villarreal and Bournemouth respectively, but Moyes stated at a Men in Blazers event in New York on Friday that Everton still need to make “nine or 10 more” additions this summer.

Vitaliy Mykolenko is Everton’s only senior left-back option at present following the departure of Ashley Young earlier this summer, but that could soon change as the Toffees close in on a fourth signing.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Everton have an agreement with Bundesliga champions Bayern to sign 19-year-old starlet Aznou, and both clubs have exchanged documents for the transfer to proceed.

Bayern are said to have negotiated matching rights to be included in Aznou's deal, as they want to have chance to match future proposals for the highly-rated teenager.

Romano adds that Everton will pay an initial fee of €9m (£7.9m) plus €3m (£2.6m) in add-ons, and the player is set to undergo a medical within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Who is Everton-bound Adam Aznou?

Born in Barcelona, Aznou is a three-cap Morocco international who began his youth career with Spanish outfit Damm before spending three years in the academy at Barcelona between 2019 and 2022.

Aznou then made the decision to join Bayern Munich after allegedly rejecting a number of other top European clubs and featured regularly the club’s Under-17 to Under-19 sides, as well as Bayern Munich II for whom he has made 18 appearances.

The versatile wideman, who can operate as a left-back or left-winger, made his first-team debut for the German giants in November 2024 and has made a total of four senior appearances for the club.

Aznou made his Champions League debut for Bayern in December 2024, coming on as a substitute in a 5-1 League Phase win over Shakhtar Donetsk, while his most recent outing was also from the bench in in the 10-0 hammering of Auckland City at the FIFA Club World Cup last month.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at La Liga side Real Valladolid, who were relegated after finishing rock bottom, playing 13 times primarily as a left-back.

With first-team opportunities not expected to arise under Vincent Kompany next season, Aznou is seemingly attracted by a move to the Premier League where he hopes to feature regularly under Moyes at Everton.
