Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will start this afternoon's Merseyside derby on the bench.

The midfielder is joined among the substitutes by Jordan Henderson and Craig Bellamy.

Hosting Everton start with Louis Saha as a lone striker, while manager David Moyes has decided to drop skipper Phil Neville in favour of Jack Rodwell.
