Malaga 1-0 Everton

Everton have slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Malaga in tonight's pre-season friendly at La Rosaleda.

In a first half that the Spaniards controlled, the Toffees' best opportunity came when Nikica Jelavic fired narrowly wide with his free kick after 25 minutes.

There was little to separate the two teams after the break, but Leon Osman came close when his effort was palmed away by Willy Caballero.

Malaga eventually broke the deadlock with 15 minutes to play as Weligton took advantage of some poor Everton marking to head home Diego Buonanotte's cross.
