Everton striker Steven Naismith hails Samuel Eto'o influence

Steven Naismith says that the Everton players have already learned a lot from Samuel Eto'o.

Everton striker Steven Naismith has lavished praise on teammate Samuel Eto'o and credited him with helping the club's forwards improve their game.

The Scot said that the veteran attacker, who arrived at Goodison Park on a free transfer over the summer, has taught him a lot since he joined the Blues.

"It's not like you are sitting down chatting to him and analysing the whole way he has played throughout his career," the Daily Star quotes him as saying. "It's just watching what they do on a day-to-day basis.

"There might be some sessions when Samuel is scoring a lot of goals, so you are picking up on how he is getting into the positions to score those goals.

"Watching him is definitely helping me and with Big Dunc [Everton coach Duncan Ferguson] helping with the squad as well, giving you pointers we have great people around us that are going to make us better players."

Everton are in Premier League action on Sunday when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
