Everton boss Roberto Martinez relishing "special" Merseyside derby

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that he is looking forward to the first "special" Merseyside derby of the season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has expressed his 'excitement' ahead of the first Merseyside derby of the Premier League season.

The Toffees will take on Liverpool at Goodison Park after the international break on November 23, with Everton sixth in the league table.

"It's such an exciting fixture, you can tell it's got a special feel about it and especially now that both teams are in very good positions after good starts to the season," Martinez told the Liverpool Echo. "It's going to be a good fixture, an important fixture."

Everton are three points adrift of Liverpool, who sit second in the league standings.
