Under-fire boss Ronald Koeman challenges his Everton players to win by any means necessary against Arsenal to potentially save his job.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told his players to 'win ugly' against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon or else he could lose his job.

The pressure has constantly been building on the Dutchman, who has seen his side pick up just two wins from their last 12 matches in all competitions.

Koeman concedes that he will be the one to pay to price if results do not improve, but he is hopeful that three points against Arsenal - by any means necessary - could prove the turning point for his short-term future on Merseyside.

"I made good contact with the board of the club but everybody knows I'm not stupid," he told Sky Sports News. "Finally you need wins and you need points. Maybe an ugly win is the best for this Sunday.

"I have really good contact with the board but if there is unhappiness around the club, and if the team is not winning, finally the manager will always pay the bill and that's football and I accept that."

Everton have won just one of their last six meetings with Arsenal in all competitions, most recently going down 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on the final day of last season.
