Nikica Jelavic opens Everton account

Nikica Jelavic scored his first goal in an Everton shirt during this evening's Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.

The chance was created by Leon Osman, who crossed from the left for the Croatian striker to convert past Spurs goalkeeper Brad Friedel in the 22nd minute.

Jelavic, making his first start for the Toffees, joined Everton from Rangers during the January transfer window.

He has recently returned to the squad following a stomach injury.
