Everton name only 18 players in their Premier League squad, seven short of the maximum allowed.

Everton have named only 18 players in their 2011/12 Premier League squad, seven short of the maximum allowed.

Top flight sides were recently required to submit a list of players who they will be able to pick for the remainder of the season.

The 18 chosen does not include footballers who are under the age of 21, as clubs are able to use an unlimited number of younger players.

The minimal selection highlights the Toffees' recent inactivity in the transfer window, only bringing in the loan signings of Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi.

David Moyes' side next host Aston Villa on Saturday, September 10.
