Darron Gibson out for a month

Everton will be without midfielder Darron Gibson for around a month because of a thigh injury.

The Irishman only returned to action in November following a two-month spell on the sidelines with a similar complaint.

However, having made a handful of appearances during December, the former Manchester United player is thought to have damaged his upper leg during a recent training session.

Gibson joined the Toffees from United in January of last year.
